My memorabilia edition is damaged, can this still be valued?
Yes, it can. It will depend on how badly damaged your edition is. In some cases, the damage is purely cosmetic such as frame being damaged, glass / Perspex has scratches etc However, the actual “memorabilia” itself IE: Jersey, Bat, Lithograph etc is still in perfect condition and unharmed. The cosmetic damage can be easily repaired, reframed etc and will not affect the value of your edition once repaired.
If you are in the process of an insurance claim and the edition was damaged by water, fire or any other reason this will be valued as a new edition prior to any damage occurring.

What does "Value for Replacement Purposes" Mean
If your edition does not have any proof of Authenticity or the Authenticator us unknown or has insufficient information I value for replacement purposes only. This means I value the cost of the contents of the item and the framing only. IE: Framed Jersey - Jersey Cost approx. $150 - Framing Avg $350 - total cost to replace the item would be $500
I have an edition that doesn’t have a Certificate of Authenticity and I don’t know who has signed it
If you do not know who has signed your edition(s) and there is no verification of authenticity, We will not be able to provide any valuation service.
The signatures on my items have faded, can these be restored?
It is very important to store and display your memorabilia in the correct way, out of direct sunlight, high powered spot lights or down lights. If your signatures on the edition have faded or in some cases disappeared this will impact the value of your edition based on its condition. Unfortunately, there is no way to restore the signatures on your edition.
I purchased an edition from a charity or fundraising event and need it valued and insured for the same value I paid for it.
This totally depends on what the edition(s) are and what you paid for the edition(s).
However, in most cases items purchased from Charity or Fundraising events are often purchased for more than what they are actually valued at. This is caused by a few factors.
One of which is being caught up in the hype of the moment and in a bidding war. In these cases please understand I will never over inflate the valuation of any edition. All editions will be valued according to my strict valuation criteria policy and current market values.
Just remember you were at the function for a good cause and to raise money and is the sole reason you attended the event was to help.
Can you deal directly with my insurance company for the valuation of my edition(s)?
Yes, we can! if that is OK with your Insurance company. you can simply pass our contact details onto them or you can supply us with your claim managers contact details and claim number and we will deal directly with them and also keep you in the loop of all communication.
I don’t have a Certificate of Authenticity
If the editions you are requesting to have valued do not accompany a reputable Certificate of Authenticity or exact photo proof of the item being signed by the said person(s) we will not be able to value your edition(s).
If your edition is officially licensed and endorsed by a governing sporting body and the Certificate of Authenticity has been miss placed, due to the parameters that are put in place for the guarantee of authenticity from the official governing sporting bodies which they include within their editions such as logos, edition numbers, licensee details, and or holograms we can still value these editions for you if these editions include all of the details.
Any edition that is requested to be valued that does not meet the above criteria will be refunded in full.
I have an Official piece of Memorabilia but have lost the Certificate of Authenticity
Official editions are very detailed with their branding, logos, holograms etc I will be able to verify if this is an official edition and will be able to value this for you. I will also in most cases be able to put you in contact with the licensee or company to contact to source a replacement COA directly with them.
Do I supply valuations or "rough estimates"over the phone?
The simple answer is No. We only supply formal valuation certificates for insurance, resale or replacement purposes and need to see a visual of the edition(s) and the certificate of authenticity to supply an accurate valuation.
